10 roadside shops gutted in Gaya
Gaya: A massive fire broke out near the Bhusunda Mela ground under the Mufassil police station area here late on Sunday night, gutting at least 10 roadside shops and causing losses estimated at around Rs 50 lakh, according to affected traders. No one was injured in the fire.Furniture, fruits, pan masala and other goods kept for sale were reduced to ashes in the incident. Fire tenders reached the spot around 2am on Monday, but by then shops dealing in furniture, fruits, meat and other items had been completely destroyed.Locals said the fire spread rapidly, leaving little time for shopkeepers or nearby residents to respond as flames engulfed the entire stretch of roadside establishments.Affected vendors, including Varun Kumar and Reena Devi, said the incident has pushed several families into a livelihood crisis. They urged the district administration to provide immediate compensation and relief to help them rebuild their businesses.
